Cookie policy
Version beta-2026-10-14 · effective from 14 October 2026
This page explains which cookies and other browser storage the walkiedesk.app website and the Walkie Desk user area use. The controller is iDev S.r.l. (details in the legal notice); for everything else the privacy notice applies. In case of differences, the Italian version prevails.
In short
We use only technical cookies and local storage, needed for the website and the user area to work. We use no profiling or analytics cookies, show no advertising, and our pages load no third-party resources or services. For this reason we do not ask for your consent (Art. 122 of the Italian Personal Data Protection Code and the Italian Data Protection Authority’s cookie guidelines of 10 June 2021): the banner is only there to inform you.
Public website (home page and information pages)
- No cookies.
- wd-cookie-notice (browser local storage): remembers that you closed the cookie notice, so it is not shown again. It contains only the value “1”, stays until you clear the site data and is never sent to our servers.
- wd-theme (local storage): the theme you chose, light or dark, for the website, the user area and the viewer. It contains only “light” or “dark” (nothing is stored if you choose “Automatic”), stays until you clear the site data and is never sent to our servers.
User area and viewer (walkiedesk.app/app/)
- __Host-wd_sid (first-party technical session cookie): keeps you signed in. It is protected (HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Strict, valid only for walkiedesk.app), expires after 24 hours of inactivity and in any case after 14 days, and is deleted when you sign out.
- wd-lang (local storage): the language you chose for the user area, until you clear the site data.
- wd-notices-closed (session storage): the user area notices you closed, until you close the browser.
- walkiedesk (browser IndexedDB database): the browser’s cryptographic key, which cannot be extracted, and the key data of your trusted devices. They are used to sign and verify remote sessions, i.e. to make sure the server cannot get in the middle. They stay in the browser until you clear the site data; if you clear them, that browser must be approved again.
How to manage them
You can view and delete cookies and site data in your browser settings. If you block the session cookie or local storage, the public website keeps working, but the user area will not let you sign in or connect to PCs.
Changes
If in the future we use non-technical cookies or tools, for example non-anonymous analytics, we will update this page and ask for your consent before using them.
